Sports paper As celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2007 with yet another year of continued circulation growth. Indeed, As was Spain's fastest growing paper in 2007. According to figures from audit bureau, OJD, the sports paper saw its average daily circulation climb by 19,934 copies, reaching a total of 234,587 copies a day at the end of 2007: 9.3% up on 2006. The paper closed the first quarter of 2008 at 237,385 copies (+7.2%), which puts it close to becoming Spain's top sports paper, a position it already indisputably enjoys in 15 provinces, including Madrid and Barcelona.

Cinco Días

Cinco Días, Spain's leading business and finance daily clocks up its 30th anniversary in 2008 but the paper already had plenty to celebrate in 2007, which saw the paper enjoy its biggest increase in results since 2000, with the paper up 72.6% over 2006. 2007 was also the newspaper's best ever with circulation hitting 40,552 copies, 19.3% up over the previous period. Kiosk sales climbed by 4.4% and readership was 72,000 (EGM figures from the third survey), up 5.9%.

The paper also organizes the Cinco Días Forum, a series of talks and debates which brings together leading figures from the world of business over the course of the year.
