Since going on air in 2006, it has developed a unique way of making responsible, socially committed television.
With an average audience-share of 8.2% in its fourth year on air, it has become one of the most successful second-generation channels in Europe.
Specializing in entertainment, the channel is an example of how certain issues which affect society may be usefully dealt with while remaining entertaining for the general public at the same time.
Cuatro markets a range of different products based on its programs, game shows and television series under the DeCuatro brand.

TVI is audience-share leader among Free-to-View channels in Portugal for the fifth consecutive year. In 2009 it recorded an audience-share of 35% with this going up to 40% in prime time. prime time.
