Ignacio Soto has been appointed to the position of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of PRISA, entrusted with promoting the development of new businesses and the transformation of the Group’s sales and digital monetization models, both nationally and internationally.

Reporting directly to the CEO, José Luis Sainz, he will drive the diversification of new business across the different units of the Group. He will focus on developing the most appropriate business strategies and on accelerating innovation in all markets. He will also develop the growth strategy for non-advertising digital revenues based on new monetization models, by  leveraging technology, innovation and digital marketing.

Soto was till now managing director of PRISA Noticias, where he decisively contributed to digital transformation and the international development of the business unit, which includes El País, As, Cinco Días, El Huffington Post and the magazines division.

Soto is an executive with broad experience in the management and development of companies in the media sector, both traditional and digital. In 2013, as partner and director of Onza Capital, he oversaw the creation of an investment fund for the Internet and mobile telecommunications sectors.

Over the course of his career he has held the positions of managing director of Vertice 360, managing director of TV channels Cuatro and CNN +, and Grupo PRISA's Chief Digital Officer. Previously he also held the positions of CFO at PRISA, as well as Management Control Director of both PRISA Radio and Localia.

Soto began his career as a consultant and auditor at Arthur Andersen. He has a degree in Economics and Business from the Complutense University of Madrid and he holds a postgraduate degree (PDD) from IESE.
