Blendhub, Emite Ingeniería and NH Hoteles win the Cinco Días Awards for Business Innovation

Blendhub, Emite Ingeniería and NH Hoteles have been honored by this year’s Cinco Días Awards for Business Innovation for their disruptive initiatives in the fields of new technologies, innovation linked to a university and corporate social responsibility, respectively.

 

Blendhub was awarded the prize forMost Innovative Business Initiative in the field of New Technologies for its engineering solution that has successfully enabled the creation of the world's first portable factory to produce high quality food powder blends. The company from Murcia, with a track record of 20 years in the sector, seeks to spearhead change in the value chain of the agrifood industry that will enable access to basic food to people in the remotest places on earth. The endeavor that was lauded by the jury, which this year included Inés Juste Bellosillo, president of the Association of Family Enterprises and president of Grupo Juste; José Carlos Díez, economist; Efrén Miranda, President of the Club of Entrepreneurship; Javier Moreno, editorial director of Grupo Prisa; the CEO of Siemens in Spain, Rosa García; the president of Adigital, Elena Gómez del Pozuelo; and Ricardo de Querol, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Cinco Días.

 

The prize for the Most Innovative Business Initiative in Association with a University went to Emite Ingeniería, a spin-off of the University of Cartagena, for its development of multiple-input and multiple-output analyzers and 4G wireless devices

 

NH Hoteles was awarded the Best Initiative in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility for its program Hoteles con Corazón (Hotels with a Heart), which provides hotel rooms to needy families of children with serious illnesses and gives them a place to stay when they have to travel for medical treatment.
