Trump’s impact on Europe and Latin America

09-01-2017

US president elect Donald Trump is not only the greatest political and media phenomenon of recent times but also a cause of concern for the governments of Europe and Latin America. What will the new White House’s policy on these two regions be? How will the United States change? Will Trump be able to carry out everything he promised during the campaign?

To answer these and many other questions, El PAÍS and the NTN24 program Club de Prensa (Press Club) are hosting a public debate with Michael Reid, a columnist for The Economist, Elvira Lindo, a journalist and writer who lived in New York for several years, and Antonio Caño, editor of EL PAÍS and the newspaper’s Washington correspondent for over 10 years. The debate will be moderated by Juan Carlos Iragorri, a Colombian journalist who hosts the NTN24 program Club de Prensa, who’ll be flying in from the US capital for the event.

The debate will take place next Thursday, January 12 at 12.00 at Casa América (Calle Marqués del Duero, 2, Madrid). Admission is free, subject to the venue’s capacity. All those interested in attending should register at this link.
