OSCAR GÓMEZ

Oscar Gómez Barbero holds a degree in IT and a Masters in Business Administration from the Universidad de Deusto and has wide ranging professional experience.

He began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as head of Systems and Organization and, in 1991, he was appointed partner and director of IBV-Landata Telecom.

In 1994 he joined Ferrocarriles Vascos as director of Operations and in 1996 he was named director of Organization and Human Resources. He subsequently took over as the corporation's director general and, in 1999, he was put in charge of IBM's Public Sector Department for Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.

Before his appointment in PRISA, he was corporate director for Information Systems at RENFE, where he answered to the Direction General for Finance and Planning.
