PEDRO GARCIA GUILLEN

Pedro García Guillén holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Madrid’s Universidad Complutense. He began his professional career at Ford España and BMW Ibérica. In 1989 he joined PRISA where he has worked in a number of posts in the group’s financial departments. In 1995 he was named Managing Director of the business daily Cinco Días and, in 1999, he was appointed CEO of GMI (Grupo Empresarial de Medios Impresos ).

García Guillén has been General Director of EL PAÍS since September 2003. In 2009, he was appointed CEO of Sogecable.
