• Pablo Álvarez appointed director of Editorial Aguilar

  Pablo Álvarez López has been appointed director of Editorial Aguilar, Grupo Santillana's non-fiction publishing arm. He takes over from Santos López Seco, who has decided to leave the company.

  Pablo Álvarez is currently director of the publishing house Suma de Letras, a post which he will continue to hold along with his new role. He has wide ranging experience in the publishing business. He began his professional career as editor at Grupo Planeta, where he held a number of posts until he was named editorial director of the publishers MR. His career has seen him work with some of the biggest national and international authors.

  Santillana, which belongs to Grupo PRISA, is one of the most prestigious and dynamic publishing groups in the Spanish-speaking world.
