Cuatro lends support to benefit record for Sahara

X1FIN: JUNTOS POR EL SAHARA (For one cause: together for Sahara). Part benefit album and part aid project, this is the first initiative of its kind in Spanish music history. The project sees some 30 young actors and music stars come together to record an album, the proceeds of which will all go to an aid project in Western Sahara.

The lineup for the album, to be presented on November 16 (at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid) includes Santi Millán, Dani Martín (from El Canto del Loco), Michelle Jenner, Juan José Ballesta, Alberto Amarilla, Jimmy Barnatán, Laura Pamplona (de Sweet Wasabi), Pastora, Sidecars, Asier Etxeandía, Poncho K, Alex González, Manuel Carrasco, Sr. Nadie, Lluvia Rojo. Cuatro will be lending its support to the project by broadcasting the presentation show.

The initiative is in collaboration with the Coordinadora Estatal de Asociaciones Solidarias con el Sáhara (National Coordinating Body for Western Sahara Aid Associations) and is apolitical in nature. Its chief goal is to tackle issues related to breast-feeding programs for newborn infants in Western Sahara, as well as to support a program for cultural cooperation in collaboration with the organization Voces.
