EL PAÍS RETINA and Mobile World Capital Barcelona launch the Mobile Talks forum

EL PAÍS RETINA and Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the Ibero-American forum on digital transformation, have teamed up to organize 'Mobile Talks', a forum for debate on digital transformation that will analyze the latest trends in innovation, mobile identity and the impact of new digital solutions on traditional business models. The planned program includes a series of events, which will take place every two months in both Barcelona and Madrid, and aimed at professionals from the digital world, entrepreneurs, investors, institutions, and heads of technology and R&D of major corporations.

The first 'Mobile Talks' will take place on October 11 in the auditorium of the Mobile World Centre (Barcelona) and will analyze the potential of venture capital as an innovation tool for large corporations. The forum will take an in-depth look at how companies and multinationals are tackling the digital transformation process and how they might better develop and adopt new methods of innovation by working with startups. Registration to attend this first forum is already open at the event website (www.mobiletalks.es).

 

The forum will feature presentations by Gregor Gimmy, founder and head of BMW Startup Garage, the incubator for automotive startups in seed stage at BMW, Dr. Jens Pippig, founder and director of the accelerator ProSiebensSat.1, and Jonathan Tudor CEO of Castrol InnoVentures, the investment wing of the energy company British Petroleum. Their talks will be followed by a debate that will seek to show how international experiences might be useful for the local business community.

 

Scheduled program

 

Mobile World Capital Barcelona, ​​in partnership with EL PAÍS RETINA, has planned three events to take place in Barcelona and Madrid in the coming months. In November 2016, the first 'Mobile Talks' will be held in Madrid, focussing on the theme Corporate Venturing. In 2017, the planned forums will address the latest technological trends: the first event will be in Barcelona and will focus on the potential of Mobile Identity (January 2017); the second will take place in Madrid and will look at the impact of digital transformation on traditional business models.
