El Pais strengthens its presence in Mexico with new alliance

News daily El País, world leader in Spanish-language news, has signed an agreement with Mexican paper El Economista. Subscribers to the Mexican paper will receive a complementary copy of El Pais Monday through Friday. El Economista celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

With this latest agreement, El País once again shows its commitment to becoming the world's leading Spanish-language paper. El Economista will now incorporate "high-quality international news, a vital asset in an ever more globalized world".

The alliance signed in Mexico follows two similar deals, one with La Nación in Argentina, last July, and another with the Dominican Republic's El Caribe, signed last May.
