The WWF has launched the worldwide campaign Vote Earth! to coincide with the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen. The initiative urges world leaders to reach a fair, ambitious and binding agreement that will determine the future of the planet. The organization is asking the public, companies and communities to vote for the planet and against climate change through its official web page.
In line with its commitment to social responsibility in environmental matters, PRISA has lent its support to the initiative, which comes after Earth Hour, an environmental awareness campaign which last March 28 saw 4,000 cities worldwide turn off the lights on some of their most famous buildings and mobilized a sixth of the world's population.
PRISA is also helping this latest global initiative by using its media outlets to collect the maximum number of signatures possible, as well as suggestions, to pass them on to the Spanish prime minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero as he sets off for Copenhagen.
