Béatrice de Clermont-Tonnerre is an investor in Artificial Intelligence companies and an independent director. She served as General Manager for the Public Sector at Microsoft France until early 2024. Previously, from 2019 to 2022, she was Chief Revenue Officer of the AI company Kayrros, a technology firm pioneering the quantification of climate change. Until September 2019 she was Director of AI Partnerships at Google, based at the AI Research Center in Paris, where she oversaw machine learning solutions for major clients. From 2013 to 2018 she was Director of Monetization for Southern Europe at Google, covering France, Spain and Italy. Previously she served as Vice President of Development at Lagardère, leading mergers and acquisitions, before working for the Canal Plus Group from 2001 to 2005 as Head of Interactive Television and Co-Head of Programming.
Béatrice de Clermont-Tonnerre began her career as a radio journalist and entered the business world as a strategy analyst at MATRA, working in the space and defense industries.
Béatrice de Clermont-Tonnerre graduated from the Institut d'Études Politiques (IEP) in Paris with a degree in Political Science and Economics, and holds an MBA from ESSEC (École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales).
Béatrice de Clermont-Tonnerre also served on the Board of Société Européenne de Satellites (Luxembourg) and as Vice Chair of the Board of Hürriyet, Turkey's leading listed newspaper.
She is currently Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Klépierre, a European specialist in shopping centres listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, a Director of CCF bank, a Director of the startup Space Cargo Unlimited, and Board Observer at Kayrros. She has been bestowed with the distinction of Chevalier in France’s Ordre national du Mérite (National Order of Merit)
