PRISA Radio’s network of podcasts in Spanish has added journalist Francisco Alanis, aka "Sopitas", to its product catalog. Sopitas is the man behind Sopitas.com – one of the Mexico’s top entertainment sites – and he has more than 1,700,000 followers on Twitter. In 2010, "Sopitas" was named by the Edelman agency as the most influential Spanish-language Twitter account. He is a regular contributor to the program "Así las cosas” on W Radio, a PRISA Radio station, where he covers the social media conversation on politics, the economy, security, society, sports, music, cinema, entertainment, books, technology and pop culture.
Sopitas will be bringing his trademark independent and wry outlook to the weekly podcast over 20 episodes, and he’ll be looking at music, sports, technology, science, the humanities, and social and political movements.
In the first episode 'Bee Gees', which airs today at http://www.podiumpodcast.com/, Sopitas discusses how music can save lives. The journalist shows how the famous hit 'Stayin alive' has the perfect beat to perform Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)..
