EL PAÍS backs the fight against cancer

To mark World Cancer Day on February 4, EL PAÍS will be actively joining the fight against the disease with a special initiative. A solidarity bracelet will go on sale with the newspaper on February 4 and 5. The bracelet will be available on newsstands for a week (until February 12) and all proceeds will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). After February 12 they will still be available at newsstands on request.

The bracelet costs EUR 1.50.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) was founded in 1953 and seeks to reduce the impact of the disease and to improve people's lives. It is dedicated to research, prevention, information, early diagnosis, psychological assistance, and social and palliative care.
