A new era for sports kicks off at Cadena SER, led by Manu Carreño and Dani Garrido

From August 21, Manu Carreño will be at the helm of a revamped El Larguero – with more commentators, more opinion, greater participation, analysis and a wider range of views that’s set to get listeners hooked. A program specially made for people who love sport.

 

Changes are also afoot at Carrusel Deportivo, with Dani Garrido – who’ll be giving a 360º view of sport, with new voices from the worlds of football and international sports, doses of humor and contributions from some of Spain’s top radio journalists.

 

Starting this weekend Cadena SERwill be offering listeners a totally new way of understanding sport – with a firm commitment to multimedia content. Manu Carreño and Dani Garrido will debut at the helm of El Larguero andCarrusel Deportivo , respectively, to serve up engaging sports shows that encourage greater participation, offer more analysis, more opinion and plenty of humor.

This Sunday, August 21, Manu Carreño will kick off a new era for the leading nighttime sports program. Carreño will tackling sport in a new way, with analysis and opinion representing a wide range of different views – thereby giving listeners the big picture when it comes to football and other sports. For the first time ever,  fans of El Larguero will be able to voice their opinions via digital platforms and they’ll be invited to live studio broadcasts.

El Larguero will air from 11.30 pm to 1:30 am, Monday through Sunday, although it’s set to go on air at 12.10 am during the first two days (Saturday and Sunday) of the Santander League.

Just one day earlier, on Saturday August 20, at 4 pm, Dani Garrido will debut at the helm of Spain’s oldest – and top-ranking – sports show. Carrusel Deportivo starts  the new season with the best sports commentators on Spanish radio and will be paying special attention to the NBA, the ACB, motor racing, tennis, Laliga 1 | 2 | 3 and international football.

The lineup for the new season at Cadena SER includes: former football players Michael Robinson, Rafa Alkorta, Pablo Alfaro, Santi Cañizares, Francisco Narváez ‘Kiko’ and Álvaro Benito; former international referee Iturralde Gonzalez; journalists Alfredo Relaño, Ramón Besa, Manolete, Antoni Daimiel, Carlos Martínez, Marcos López, Gustavo López, Mela Chércoles, Axel Torres and Bruno Alemany; The Guardian and La Gazzetta dello Sport correspondents, Sid Lowe and Filippo Ricci; radio journalists Antonio Romero, Jesús Gallego, Lluís Flaquer,  Jordi Martí, Francisco José Delgado, Íñigo Markínez, Pedro Morata, Santi Ortega,  and José Antonio Ponseti; and comedians Raúl Pérez and Especialistas Secundarios
