Radio network Cadena SER sends a team to Brazil to cover all the news from the Games

 

Cadena SER ’s team in Brazil is to offer comprehensive coverage of the 31st Summer Olympics, the first Olympic Games ever to be held in South America

Jesús Gallego, Francisco José Delgado, María Bretones, Diego González, José Ignacio Tornadijo, Iñigo Markínez, Santiago Ortega, Pedro Morata, Pedro Fullana, Jorge Escorial and José Luis López, led by Laura Martínez, are teaming up with Augusto Molina, Carlos Díaz, Roberto García and Jorge Peinado on the technical side, to make up SER’s special Olympics squad.

Jesus Gallego will be anchoring, from Friday August 5, the daily special 'Carrusel Olímpico', which airs from 8.30pm to 9pm, and, starting Saturday August 6, he’ll be hosting the weekend edition of 'Carrusel Olímpico' from 11pm to midnight. Cadena SER will also be bringing listeners live updates from Rio 2016 via its daily news bulletins, from 10am to 3am.

Yago de Vega will lead a special edition of  El Larguero, from SER’s Madrid studios, Monday to Friday, in a special new time slot between 11.30pm and 1.30am, giving a roundup and analysis of the sports news coming in from Rio.

Cadena SER will be providing live coverage of all events to feature a Spanish athlete as well as all Spanish Basketball Team games during the Olympics. All this plus the top events of the other 300 sports in this year’s Olympic Games.
