ANTONIO GARCÍA -MON, NEW PRISA SECRETARY GENERAL AND LEGAL DIRECTOR

Antonio García-Mon Maranés has been appointed secretary general of PRISA and its Board of Directors. In his new position, as well as overseeing all those corporate and company affairs inherent to the position, he will be also act as the Group’s legal director, heading and coordinating all legal services of the various business units. Iñigo Dago, who served until now as secretary general of PRISA, is embarking on a new career outside the company after more than twelve years of professional service and commitment to the Group. Over the course of his term he made a major and lasting contribution to the company.

Antonio García-Mon, lawyer of the Bar Association of Madrid, holds a law degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a specialization in European Law from the Institute of European Studies at the Free University of Brussels. He began his career at the law firm Despacho Garrigues, where he worked in the Department of EU and Competition Law in both Madrid and Brussels. In 1999 he served as deputy legal director. In 2000 he joined the General Secretariat of PRISA, where he worked in a range of different areas, chiefly related to regulatory and competition laws. In 2009 he joined Sogecable (today PRISATV) as chief legal director. In 2010 he was appointed secretary of the PRISATV and CANAL +’s Boards of Directors, and in 2011, Secretary General of the two companies.
