AS launches new digital edition in Mexico

Sports daily AS is launching a new edition in Mexico: AS Mexico. The journalist Alejandro Gomez has been appointed editor-in-chief of the website web that will bring readers all the latest news from Mexican and international sport. This new edition of AS will be paying special attention to football but there will also be plenty of news on other sports such as Formula 1, tennis, cycling, NBA, NFL and boxing.

AS Mexico has the support of W Radio and its offices will be located on the premises of the radio station in Mexico City. Joining the AS Mexico team is the journalist and sports commentator Francisco Javier Gonzalez, vice president of content at TDN and TDW.

The new digital edition of AS aims to become the go-to website for quality sports content and news and information on sports events in the country and on Mexican athletes competing in Europe. What’s more, AS’s global network of correspondents will be offering readers the very best of international sports news. AS TV will also be supplying videos, which will add to those offered by the team in Mexico City.

AS Mexico will have a team of writers with a great track record in sports media. Joining them are Inés Sainz and Jesus Francisco Alanis or "Sopitas" and cartoonist Oscar Aguilar, aka "Moskabrown" who will be analyzing the sports news for AS Mexico.

With the launch of AS Mexico, sports daily AS thus reinforces its presence in Latin America where it already has digital editions in Colombia and  Chile, in addition to the Latin American edition of AS, AS América.
