CANAL+ launches YOMVI, a new, connected way to enjoy TV

CANAL+ has unveiled its new brand for the online environment this evening at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid (Spain) with the show Fuerzabruta.

It's great news for customers of CANAL+: They can now enjoy content wherever and whenever they want.

It's CANAL+'s response to new online consumer habits: premium content at a very attractive price.

CANAL+ makes a foray into the connected world with CANAL+ YOMVI, the CANAL+ Internet brand that adapts CANAL+'s unique content to changing consumer habits.

Boasting the best offer of exclusive content on the market, CANAL+ remains a byword for quality and distinctiveness after 20 years of leadership in the premium television sector and is increasingly committed to all the latest technology. Now it is about to go a step further.

Everything kicks off on Monday October 17 when CANAL+ will once again change the way we watch television and will begin the process that will ultimately transform it from being a conventional pay-TV network into a true digital entertainment brand.

The first to perceive the change will be CANAL+ customers, who'll now be able to enjoy all the content they have subscribed to, at no additional cost on all devices. Live sports broadcasts and exclusive film premieres, trend-setting TV series, original productions, must-see documentaries and specials, all with the CANAL+ guarantee of quality.

All the top content is already available via the iPlus, the advanced CANAL+, decoder, and will now also be available to customers on PC, the IPAD and the iPhone, connected TVs and game consoles. To watch on the go, wherever and whenever CANAL+ subscribers like thanks to the on-demand service that will allow them to select what to watch.

And there's more good news: CANAL+ is opening up an innovative gateway to its offer of quality content through the Internet. Thanks to a deal signed by CANAL+ and Jazztel, CANAL+ content will be available at a very competitive flat fee of €10.95  per month via Jazztel's ADSL. New subscribers to Jazztel‘s IPBOX will be able to access CANAL+ YOMVI, a complete catalog of TV series and movies with 1,000 titles, as well regular CANAL+ broadcasts.

In addition, CANAL+ YOMVI will be available on PCs for non-customers, who'll be able to contract YOMVI CANAL+ on their computers for just € 10.95 per month. And there's a spectacular launch offer: only in October, anyone signing up for the new product will enjoy CANAL+ on the Internet totally free for a month and without any obligation.

Live sport, film premieres, and must-see TV series

Quality and exclusivity are hallmarks of CANAL + and the channel will be offering more Spanish football (9 out of 10 games over the weekend and more Madrid and Barcelona matches exclusively on CANAL +), the Champions League from September 2012, and significant sports broadcast rights cover the Premier League, the Europa League, the Copa del Rey NBA, Wimbledon and the golf Majors..

For films and TV series: deals with the biggest U.S. producers consolidate CANAL+ as the first window in the country for the best content (movie premieres and hit TV series). Plus virtually all Spanish cinema. The exclusive deal with HBO provides CANAL+ with all the top TV series (broadcast immediately after their U.S. premiere).
