Cuatro's TV series Cuestión de Sexo (A Question of Sex) has won the 9th annual Islantilla Film and TV Festival in Huelva.

The jury gave the Golden Chameleon prize for best TV series to the show, which is produced by Sogecable and Notro Films. The hit comedy stars Guillermo Toledo, Pilar Castro, Carmen Ruiz, Xulio Abonjo, Alfonso Lara and Valeria Alonso.

The jury praised the way in which the series "used humour to break through deep-seated taboos to look at the delicate and controversial question of sexual relationships and the impact these have on the lives of couples and on the relationships between parents and their children."

Actor Guillermo Toledo came in for a special mention with the jury lauding his outstanding performance "as the perfect foil for actress Pilar Castro."

Other awards went to Presumptes Implicats, produced by Zip Films, Dacsa Produccions, for the regional TV channels in Catalunya and Valencia, in the category TV Movie; Luisa Martín, for best actress in the series Desaparecida and to Luis Merlo, for best TV actor for his role in El Internado.

This year's Chameleon of Honour went to actress Carmen Machi, who stars in Aida. The Andalucía Film Commission Award went to Spanish state TV channel TVE for its audiovisual work in the region.
