EL PAIS and Bankia to host major debate on financial reform

Under the title "Economy, Innovation and Future", El Pais and Bankia are to co-host the 2012 International Financial Meeting, which brings together political leaders and top national and international figures to discuss the current financial system and strategies that will consolidate a more effective and sustainable model in the new global economic climate.

The conference will take place on March 5 and 6 at the Teatros del Canal, with the participation of Mariano Rajoy, Luis de Guindos and Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, among others. Also participating are Jose Manuel Gonzalez-Paramo, member of the European Central Bank’s executive board, Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, former ECB executive board member, and David Lopez-Salido, Assistant Director at the U.S. Federal Reserve’s Division of Monetary Affairs.
