EL PAÍS SEMANAL gets a revamp

EL PAÍS SEMANAL,the Sunday supplement magazine that accompanies newspaper EL PAÍS is to boast a brand new style starting this Sunday. With high-quality content and an attractive new redesign, the magazine will give greater weight to images that will invite readers to linger over its pages. This is a forward-looking move that will also be reflected in the digital environment. New narrative formats such as podcasts, videos and image galleries will showcase that there are multiple ways to tell a good story well. High-impact reports, everyday stories and life’s little pleasures will also feature in the pages of the magazine, that sets the standard for current affairs coverage in Spanish. What’s more, readers will be encouraged to read, listen, touch and share.

Contents is grouped into three broad categories: Confidencias, Documentos and Placeres.

Confidencias (confidences) has been created to accommodate exclusive interviews with a wide and varied range of inspiring figures, those who create and spearhead change. We’ll discover their connections, areas of influence and the secrets of their success.

Documentos (documents) embraces the great journalistic genres such as interviews and in-depth reporting that have been a hallmark of EL PAÍS SEMANAL over the course of its 40 years on newsstands.

Placeres (pleasures) brings readers lifestyle features such as fashion, food and beauty, travel and architecture, among many others.

The magazine will be available on newsstands from Monday through Thursday and can be purchased along with EL PAÍS for an additional 1.50 euros.

The new EL PAÍS SEMANAL website has also been revamped. Photo galleries, graphics, podcasts and videos enhance the narrative in formats that reaffirm the journalistic values that are the hallmark of this magazine, which over the years has been home to great features, interviews and columnists such as Almudena Grandes, Rosa Montero, Javier Marías, Javier Cercas, Manuel Rivas and Juan José Millás.
