EL PAÍS TV is launched

18-02-2013

[ES][ME] EL PAÍS TVEl País has launched El País TV, a space for videos and live broadcasts via streaming that will greatly enhance the newspaper’s audiovisual content. Since last week, the website’s cover page as well as the different newspaper sections have included more visual content than ever -- both in-house productions as well as content from outside providers -- with the aim of improving the reader experience of the paper’s digital edition. At El País TV, visitors can view the images of the day, as well as access the newspaper’s video archive.

All this new content has been given greater visibility in a new box on the cover page that enables viewing of video highlights on the same page and access to the live broadcasts in large format, thanks to high-quality streaming. Titled El País TV, the new format alerts users of upcoming live broadcasts: including Spanish parliamentary sessions, the final public acts of Pope Benedict XVI, Council of Ministers meetings on Fridays, press conferences by party leaders and spokespersons, and breaking news from around the world brought to us live by the news agency Reuters. At El País TV users can also access a title page where they can view the video highlights of the past few weeks.
