Ignacio Soto appointed Managing Director of PRISA Noticias

Soto is an executive with broad experience in the management and development of companies in the media sector.

Ignacio Soto has joined the team of PRISA's news division, PRISA Noticias, as Managing Director. He'll be responsible for spearheading digital transformation, international development and getting the company -- which includes El País, As, Cinco Días, Huffington Post and the magazines division -- back on the path of growth and profitability.

Soto is an executive with broad experience in the management and development of companies in the media sector, both traditional and digital. In 2013, as partner and director of Onza Capital, he oversaw the creation of an investment fund for the Internet and mobile telecommunications sectors.

 Over the course of his career he has held the positions of managing director of Vertice 360, managing director of TV channels Cuatro and CNN +, and director of Grupo PRISA's digital operations. Soto has a degree in Economics and Business from the Complutense University of Madrid and he holds a postgraduate degree (PDD) from IESE.
