Marta Moldes, new manager of Cinco Días

Marta Moldes Gómez (Ponferrada, 1969) has been appointed manager of Grupo PRISA's business and finance daily paper, Cinco Días. She takes over from María Frías Somalo, who'll be joining the management team at the newspaper EL PAÍS.

Moldes has a degree in Business and Economics from the University of Valladolid (specializing in sales and marketing management) and has also studied management development. She was till now deputy general manager at Cinco Días, a post she had held since July, 2006. Prior to that post, she was head of direct marketing at sports paper AS.

She has also worked as chief accountant at GMI (Grupo Empresarial de Medios Impresos) a PRISA holding in the area of specialist press publications, and head of administration and human resources at the newspaper El Día de Valladolid.

She was financial controller at the company Diseño y Desarrollo de Matricería in her native Ponferrada, and was head of administration at Grupo Anuntis, publishers of Primeramano, in the Valladolid region.
