The Board of Directors of PRISA, following a proposal and a favorable report from the Appointments, Remuneration, and Corporate Governance Committee, has approved the appointment of Paloma Bravo as the Group’s new Chief of the Presidency and Communications.
Bravo, who previously served as Managing Director of Communication and Institutional Relations at Vocento, will officially assume her new role at PRISA on March 24. She will be responsible for a range of corporate strategy functions, as well as the design and execution of the Group’s communication policy.
Meanwhile, Ana Ortas, who has served as PRISA’s Director of Communication, has decided to pursue new professional opportunities. The Board has expressed its gratitude for her dedication and contributions during her tenure with the company.
Paloma Bravo holds a Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She has a distinguished career in communication and marketing.
She began her career as an executive at the Pay-Tv platform Vía Digital (1997-2000), where she advanced to the role of Director of Content Acquisition. She subsequently became Director of Planning and Development at Multipark (2000-2002), followed by Director of Leisure and TV Marketing at Auna TV (2002-2005)
In 2005, she launched the television channel 8 Madrid, where she served as Managing Director, a role she held until January 2007. She then joined El País as Editorial Marketing Director, later expanding her role to include Marketing Director for Prisa Noticias.
From 2013 to 2016, she was Director of Marketing, Communication, and Advertising for Movistar TV at Telefónica. In 2017, she joined Vocento as the Managing Director of Moka, an integrated communications and marketing agency.
In addition to her corporate career, Bravo is a published author of five novels, a non-fiction book, two short story collections, and two plays. Her novel Solos was recently adapted into a film by Álamo Films.
