PRISA and Zeta will jointly commercialize advertising in their press media

PRISA and Zeta have closed an agreement to create a joint company to unify the advertising commercialization of El País, El Periódico de Cataluña, As and Sport. This comercial agreement will mean a joint offer that will sum a total gross audience of 4,774,000 readers, thanks to the leadership position of the national general information and sport newspapers of both Groups.

The objective of both companies is to reinforce the advertising commercialization of their newspapers and to proportionate additional and added value services in the planning of the campaigns of their clients. Additionally, this agreement will contribute to a higher return for advertisers in a market which is strongly declining and with a growing audience fragmentation.

El País and El Periódico de Catalunya add up to 2,778,000 readers and have an excellent geographic coverage, as both newspapers are leaders of the paid general information press in Madrid and Barcelona respectively. As and Sport have 1,996,000 daily readers and are leaders in the sport press in Cataluña with an excellent position in the rest of Spain.

This joint commercialization model mean a great value offer considering the sum of audiences, profiles and coverage and will also facilitate the management of the clients and advertisers of these newspapers.

Box Publicidad is currently commercializing advertising for El País, As and Cinco Días and other 22 regional newspapers, as well as all commercial sites of PRISA. Zeta Gestión de Medios commercializes El Periódico de Catalunya and Sport, as well as other media of Grupo Zeta and third parties.

The agreement is subjected to the corresponding authorizations.
