PRISA RADIO and sports daily AS bring together sport and music to support the Madrid 2020 Olympic candidature

The event is free and runs from 4pm to midnight, with a live connection from Buenos Aires .

The world of sport and music will come together this Saturday in Madrid for the final push for Madrid 2020’s Olympic candidature on the day that the International Olympic Committee's decides who’s to host the 2020 games. Sports newspaper AS and PRISA RADIO ( Cadena SER , 40 Principales and Cadena Dial , among others ) in collaboration with the city of Madrid, have organized an event at Madrid’s Puerta de Alcalá which blends music, Olympic medalists and a live connection from Buenos Aires.

Frank Blanco, Tony Aguilar and Pedro Pablo Sanmartín will act as masters of ceremonies at the gala, which kicks off at 4pm and will run until past midnight. Jaime Cantizano , Jesus Gallego , Jose Antonio Ponseti , Tomás Roncero and Manolete will also be on hand to enliven the show.

The stage, which will be located  at the Puerta de Alcalá facing the Plaza de Cibeles , will play host to more than 80 Olympic medalists , including María Vasco, Juan Antonio Corbalán, Fernando Romay, Talant Dujsebaiev, José Javier Hombrados, Javier García Chico, Kiko, Mercedes Coghen, María Victoria González, Natalia Dorado and the Spanish synchronized swimming team . The coach of the Spanish national football team, Vicente del Bosque, will also attend the event.

There will also be plenty of music, with artists such as Manuel Carrasco, Xuso  Jones, Sweet California, Diego Martín, Soraya, Lagarto Amarillo, Nena Daconte, Pastora Soler, El Viaje de Ellliot, Carlos Baute, Edurne and Henry Méndez taking the stage.
