Santillana receives the quality assurance mark

Editorial Santillana has been awarded the quality mark "Sello Escuela 2.0", the quality assurance mark awarded by the Ministry of Education which publicly recognizes the company's commitment to the development and improvement of educational quality through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), under the framework of the initiative Programa Escuela 2.0.

The region of Catalonia is a pioneer in implementing digital content in the classroom through the project eduCAT 1 ◊ 1, which has been aimed at secondary-school students of 1st and 2nd levels of ESO since September 2010. Santillana has been instrumental in the development of the initiative by devising the Llibreweb, which enables the customization and integration of ICT in the classroom in a natural way.

Llibreweb is an indispensable tool for both students and teachers, and enables the delivery of educational materials through interactive content, online tools and innovative monitoring and evaluation systems that adapt the potential of new technologies to the reality and needs of the classroom.

The Secretary of State has thus awarded quality assurance mark to Santillana "for having developed within the Programa Escuela 2.0, new ways of using technology, and for steering and promoting the development of curriculum subjects by using new technologies, and making ICT available to teaching staff for class planning and their subsequent implementation."

This quality assurance mark makes Santillana and  Llibreweb the benchmark in the field of new technologies applied to education at the national level.
