Improving employability and opportunities for youth entrepreneurship are the key focuses of the framework agreement for cooperation, signed on October 11 by the Santillana Foundation and the OIJ, an international body that fosters the inclusion and integration of young people.

During the signing of the agreement, the secretary general of the OIJ, Max Trejo Cervantes, highlighted how such agreements are a crucial step towards transforming the lives of young people by taking practical action in areas "that have real relevance in the everyday lives of young people, such as education, culture, entrepreneurship and employability ".

Meanwhile, Mariano Jabonero stressed "the value of education when it comes to offering more opportunities for all young people in the region." The Santillana Foundation’s Director of Education highlighted the need for youth to acquire skills to improve employability through innovative experiences, such as "El País con tu futuro”, which the Santillana Foundation plans to hold on December 20 and 21 in Madrid.

Among the areas earmarked for cooperation between the Santillana Foundation and the OIJ are promoting awareness of new skills for and by young people; supporting initiatives such as the Ibero-American Festival of Children's and Youth Literature, which Valladolid will host for its second edition at the end of November; the programs "Creation" and “Connection”; and the professionalization of endeavors in the cultural arena.
