The UAM-EL PAÍS School of Journalism, founded in 1986, is a pioneer in the teaching of quality journalism. To date, over a thousand students have now studied its Masters in Multimedia Journalism (digital, print and radio), granted by the Autonomous University of Madrid. Moreover, since 2014, the program has offered specialized journalism workshops on weekends, aimed at all those interested in this profession in its many facets. There has already been a workshop on photojournalism, another has been prepared on interviewing techniques and further sessions on sports journalism, video and journalism on trends and lifestyle are currently in development

The aim of the school is to provide highly practical training to enable students, regardless of their university background, to practise rigorous journalism in any media format. The school pays special attention to ethical values and the correct use of language and image for quality journalism.

The faculty is composed of journalists from EL PAÍS and other PRISA media, as well as teachers from the UAM. The program also includes lectures given by leading experts from the worlds of journalism, academia, politics, the arts, economics, science and sport.
