Rosa Junquera is Chief Sustainability Officer at PRISA.
She holds a degree in Political Science, a Master's in Journalism (UAM–El País) and a Master’s in Sustainability (Competitive Social Transformation, UCM). She began her career in the Marketing and Audiences division at RTVE before spending much of her professional life at PRISA Group. As a journalist, she worked in the news and programs department of Cadena SER, before joining the publishing imprints Alfaguara and Taurus, first as Press Officer and later as Director of the Author’s Office.
From 2010 to 2022 she served as Global Director of Communications and Marketing at Santillana. In that role, she drove the launch of international educational projects and the positioning of subscription models in the Latin American market. She also led the business unit’s sustainability strategy before establishing PRISA’s Sustainability function.
From 2011 to 2021 she served on the board of the Madrid Publishers’ Association, and she has taught on the Master’s in Publishing program at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
In 2023, 2024 and 2025 she was shortlisted for the Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain (Magas de El Español).
She has been Chief Sustainability Officer at PRISA since May 2022.
