40 Principales goes on air in The Dominican Republic

21-12-2012

PRISA Radio is going live in the Dominican Republic through a joint venture with Radio Cadena Comercial (RCC), the leading media group in the country.

With this latest move, the music station 40 Principales expands its presence in Latin America and reinforces its position as the leading music radio brand among Spanish-speaking youth. The radio network has six million listeners in the nine countries where it broadcasts (Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Spain) and over three million unique users on the Internet, according to comScore.

The network has aired some of the most important national and international music artists, as well as music events such as the 40 Principales Awards in Spain, the Premios 40 America Awards and Evento 40 in Mexico, demonstrating, year after year, the strength of the 40 Principales brand. Such is the network’s influence in all those countries where it operates, that it has given rise to a youth lifestyle.

In the Dominican Republic, 40 Principales broadcasts on the frequency 103.3 FM and brings listeners the dynamic programming of chart-topping music that characterizes the station. There’ll be a morning show, packed with music and humor, while over the weekend, dance music will take center stage, and Sundays will be given over to classic pop.
