Augusto Delkader is named president of the AERC

The Annual General Meeting of the Spanish Association of Commercial Radio Broadcasters (AERC) yesterday approved the renewal of its Board of Directors. Augusto Delkader, president of Prisa Radio, takes over as president from Javier González Ferrari.

The Spanish Association of Commercial Radio Broadcasters (AERC) has held its annual general meeting at its Madrid Press Center.The meeting saw the renewal of the board, and Augusto Delkader Teig, president of Prisa Radio, was elected new president of the institution, replacing Javier González Ferrari, from Onda Cero Radio, who had held the position till now.

AERC used the occasion of the meeting to inform members of the Board’s activity over the six months since the previous meeting, held last July. Highlights included intellectual property rights and technological issues related to broadcasting on new devices in the new digital environment.

As well appointing a new president, it was also agreed to appoint a new General Secretary. Thus, Alfonso Ruiz de Assin, after many years in office, will hand over his post to Javier Agustí Montalvo, who also boasts a long and successful track record in the broadcasting sector
