Carrusel Deportivo, the oldest sports radio program in Spain, also comfortably holds on to its lead. On Saturdays, with 1,571,000 listeners, it enjoys a lead of more than 360,000 over Tiempo de Juego, even though it airs for two hours less than the COPE program. On Sundays, the gap is even wider: Carrusel boasts 1,732,000 fans, half a million more than COPE, even though the rival broadcaster’s show lasts two hours more than Jesus Gallego’s program. If one compares the same programming slot, from 3pm to 2am, Carrusel would enjoy a lead of 915,000 listeners on Saturdays and of 1,018,000 on Sundays.
