Cadena SER listeners send 1,000 kilos of books to Burkina Faso

27-10-2011

Last August Marta Gonzalez Novo and Nicolas Castellano urged listeners to the program La Ventana de Verano to collaborate with the Olvido Library initiative, located in Ouahigouya, by donating books to support the education of the inhabitants of this small city in  Burkina Faso. Since then, more than 1,000 kilos of books have been received at the Cadena SER studios.

Listener solidarity thus helps the project funded by Juan Manuel Pérez Ruiz de Valbuena, who has brought cutting-edge technology to Ouahigouya with a 1.200m2 center featuring the first 3D screen in Burkina Faso, that hosts concerts, plays, lectures, computer classes and language courses.
