Call for nominations for international categories at the Ondas Awards 2013

The awards are among the most prestigious in the Spanish and international audiovisual sector and this year celebrate their 60th Anniversary

 

The Ondas Awards, the oldest and most prestigious radio and TV broadcasting awards, which are held in Barcelona (Spain), each year honor the most outstanding national and international radio and television professionals, businesses, and advertising projects. The national and international juries, made up of leading professionals from these sectors, are responsible for choosing the winners each year.

 

This year sees the prestigious Ondas Awards celebrate their 60th Anniversary and they are widely seen as a vital showcase for audiovisual talent from both Spain and internationally. For another year running, leading figures from the worlds of media and advertising will come together regardless of ideology or country of origin.

 

The history of the Ondas Awards has seen winners from winners from Europe, Asia and the Americas. In the last edition nominations were received from 17 countries (Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, France, Hungary, UK, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland and Yugoslavia). The Ondas Awards, awarded by Radio Barcelona Cadena SER, have also had the official support of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since the 1980s.

 

The Ondas have also played a crucial role in educating the public of what goes into making radio, TV and advertising. Hundreds of experts sitting on the awards juries have, for 60 years, paid tribute to the talent and creativity of the many professionals who have worked to advance these sectors.
