Caracol Radio and W Radio are honored at the Simon Bolivar Awards (Colombia)

The awards ceremony for the prestigious Simon Bolivar National Awards for Journalism has taken place (Thursday, October 29) at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo in Bogota, Colombia.

Now in their 40th edition, the awards have been judged over the years by a jury that has boasted leading figures such as Miguel Otero Silva, Mario Vargas Llosa and Alvaro Mutis.

This year’s awards have gone to Camila Zuluaga of W Radio for El robo público y privado de la UNP', to Caracol Radio’s Alejandro Tibaduiza for 'Las últimas revelaciones del holocausto', and 'Mi banda sonora' with Vera Grabe, also broadcast by Caracol Radio.
