Caracol Radio Colombia wins the Exxon Mobil Award for Best Event Coverage of Events Related to Corporate Responsibility

Gabriel De Las Casas and the Planeta Caracol team have won the journalism award given by Exxon Mobil for the best coverage of events in the field of corporate social responsibility.

The prize was awarded for an investigative report following an initiative among  fishermen and their families in Cartagena, Baru and the Rosario Islands. The evaluation criteria for the award were research and prior knowledge of the subject, critical analysis, timely implementation of technologies and news sequence.

For Gabriel de las Casas, the most exciting aspect of this award "is to have beaten famous journalists and well-known media outlets competing in the same category."
