Caracol Radio wins two Simón Bolívar awards

The news team at Caracol Radio, the PRISA Radio station in Colombia, won two Simon Bolivar National Journalism Awards on October 29. The prizes, which were handed out by President Juan Manuel Santos at the Julio Mario Santo Domingo theater in Bogota, are the highest awards given in Colombia to professional journalism. 

The first was awarded to the director of the News Service of Caracol Radio and Hora 20, Diana Calderón -- who was accompanied by the journalists Sonia Rodriguez and Luis Enrique Hurtado -- in the category of Best Investigation in Radio for “Los hilos ocultos de Interbolsa"

The second Simón Bolívar award to be won by Diana Calderon was for Hora 20 in the category of Best Radio Analysis for the debate "La posesión de un ausente”.
