At a meeting of Prisa’s Executive Committee held this week, the resignation was announced of Matías Cortés for personal reasons. During the meeting of the Executive Committee in which Cortés’s resignation was announced, the executive chairman of PRISA, Juan Luis Cebrian, highlighted the importance of the  contributions made by Cortés over the years,  expressed his gratitude for his years of service, and said he hoped that he would continue to provide his services as legal advisor and lawyer. "PRISA's history would have been very different, and worse, without him," said Cebrian, who recalled that Cortes was present in all major decisions of the company since its founding. "In the future”, he predicted, “he will remain so."
