Cinco Dias Awards for Innovation in Innovation in Business

On Thursday, November 5, Spain's veteran business and finance daily, Cinco Días,, will announce the winners of the second annual Cinco Dias Awards for Innovation in Business. The prize, established last year to coincide with with celebrations to mark 30 years of the Economy under Democracy, is sponsored by  Gas Natural, Unión Fenosa, La Caixa and Repsol.

Like last year, the Cinco Dias Awards for Innovation in Business is given across three categories:

Most Innovative Business Initiative in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility

Most Innovative Business Initiative in the field of New Technologies

Most Innovative Business Initiative in association with a university

Prize winners will receive a commemorative artistic work by Cristina Iglesia. The jury is comprised of the following people: Jorge Rivera, director of Cinco Días; José Juan Pérez Tabernero, communications chief at Banesto (and representing Ana Patricia Botín);   Javier Monzón, president of Indra; José Núñez, president of Alquimia; Emilio Ontiveros, president of Analistas Financieros Internacionales; and Joaquín Estefanía, director of the UAM/EL PAÍS Journalism School. Carlos Ulecia, deputy Secretary General of Grupo PRISA heads the jury.

The awards ceremony is due to take place on November 16 at Madrid's Círculo de Bellas Artes.
