A single brand for all our different media outlets. Until now ElPais.com referred to a website. But as we embark on an exciting new phase, we´re dropping the .com suffix, and all our news desks, regardless of content -- whether the print edition, for computers, cell phones and tablets -- will be working with the same levels of journalistic quality and rigor. EL PAÍS is EL PAÍS, no matter where you read it.
The changes to the EL PAÍS website have been rolled out gradually, section by section, out of consideration for our readers and to smooth out any errors, while incorporating improvements on a daily basis as they have suggested themselves.
The new website allows for more complete navigation and contains all the news and information generated daily by El País journalists, which can be found easily and intuitively. What’s more, from now on, all the news, with just a few exceptions, is open to comments.
The new website is very much in keeping with the style that has always set EL PAÍS apart.Quality, reliable journalistic content will have the same rigorously high standards that have prevailed in this newspaper since its founding in 1976.
