EL PAÍS organizes the conference ' Investing in Panama '

EL PAÍS and Radio Panama are to host a conference in which experts will come together to discuss business opportunities in Panama, a country that has rapidly moved center stage as a financial, logistical and transportation hub in Central America.

Twenty years of uninterrupted growth , political stability , infrastructure and service-sector development, legal security and the quality of life have combined to make the country a true hub of world trade and an investment opportunity for European and Latin American companies eager to expand markets .The conference ‘Investing in Panama’ will cover key business opportunities offered by the country and its overall importance as a key platform for access to other countries in Latin America and as a bridge between continents .

The conference will be opened by Javier Moreno , director of El País , and Edwin Cabrera director of Radio Panama . The keynote opening speeches will be given by Ricardo Quijano , Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Panama and Diego Garcia-Sayan, judge and president of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights . Ricardo Martinelli , President of Panama , will deliver the closing speech, and will be introduced by the Executive Chairman of PRISA , Juan Luis Cebrian .

The event will take place at the Hotel Riu Plaza Panama ( junction of Calle 50 and 53 East, Urb Marbella - Panama City ) . The event can be followed via streaming at www.elpais.com and via Eskup , El País’s own social network, and Twitter.
