Josep María Girona is named Director of Corporate Communications at Prisa Radio

Josep Maria Girona Compte has been named Director of Communications at Prisa Radio. The new position, which reports to the President and CEO of Prisa Radio, will be responsible for the process of internal and external communications and defining the radio group's strategy in line with the processes of transformation currently taking place.

Josep Maria Girona, born in Alcover (Tarragona) in 1959, holds a degree in journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and his career has always been linked to SER. He began his career at Radio Reus where he was reporter, Head of News Services and Director. In 1990 he was appointed Director of News Services for Catalonia, and he has been Director of Radio Barcelona for the past ten years, ​​as well as director of SER in Catalonia. He has taught at the Faculty of Information Sciences at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and is currently a lecturer for the Masters in Journalism at the Universitat Ramon Llull and vice president of the Catalan Association of Radio.
