Juan Herrero, new Chief Financial Officer and head of Corporate Development at PRISA TV

Juan Herrero Abelló, until now Chief Operating Officer at MEDIA CAPITAL (belonging to PRISA, which owns Portuguese free-to-view channel TVI and the audiovisual production company, Plural), has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer and director of Corporate Development at PRISA TV. Herrero's appointment will strengthen the financial management team and centralize the development of new projects which are part of the transformation that the company is undergoing.

 Herrero began his career in the United States where he worked for four years. He later returned to Spain to work in a range of management positions in the financial sector. In 2001, Herrero joined PRISA as Director of Corporate Development and Planning, a position he held until 2005, when he moved to Portugal as COO of Media Capital group.

Born in 1959 in Madrid, Juan Herrero Abelló is married and has 3 children. He holds a BA in Economics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an MBA in Finance from Emory University in Atlanta (Georgia, USA) and Master of Business Management from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
