Barcelona, November 6, 2014. Today, at 5pm, the jury for the 61st edition of the Premios Ondas -- the Ondas Awards -- announced the winners of this year’s prizes. The winners were revealed at a press conference at Radio Barcelona- Cadena SER’s Toreski Studio. The prestigious Ondas Awards identify and honor both Spanish and international talent in the audiovisual sector.
Augusto Delkáder, president of PRISA Radio and president of the jury for national television, used the occasion to single out the importance of the special prize awarded to Josep Maria Martí i Martí for his lifelong career. Delkáder stressed that "the history of Radio Barcelona, of SER, can’t be understood without the professional input and talent contributed by Josep Maria Martí to Cadena Ser".
The Ondas Award for best radio program was this year awarded to Toni Martinez’s show Todo por la radio. The jury explained that the program "has shown a new way of approaching the world, taking an ironic-satirical view, and has proved to be ratings success."
Delkáder wasn’t giving away any of the big surprises in store for the gala awards ceremony, but he did announce that the evening will be enlivened by Serrat and Los del Rio as well as other top national and international artists in what promises to be a great musical event.
The Ondas Awards, Spain’s oldest and most prestigious awards for radio and television, have the official support of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). This year’s edition received over 300 nominations from more than 20 countries around the world
The gala awards ceremony of the 61st Ondas Awards will take place in Barcelona on November 25 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu and will be broadcast live by the television channel Divinity.
