Leo Caprile, anchor of La Mañana de la Corazón, has been chosen by the public as best radio presenter of 2013, and has been honored with the prestigious Copihue de Oro award. The host of the morning program on the PRISA Radio station in Chile was given the award by the newspaper La Cuarta, which every year pays tribute to leading figures in entertainment and show business in the country. It is one of the biggest annual events in the worlds of music and television in Chile and has been awarded by popular vote since 2005.
"I’m delighted and proud to win this award because it is voted by the public. Winning the Copihue de Oro at this stage of my career is testament to the enormous support from listeners and friends, all of whom make my career worthwhile," said the anchor of Radio Corazón and Radio Uno.
At the awards gala, organized by the newspaper La Cuarta, Caprile dedicated the prize to his father Lucho Caprile, radio presenter in the Valparaíso region.
Leo Caprile hosts the program La Mañana de la Corazón, with Claudio Orellana, which is broadcast Monday through Saturday from 8 am to noon on Radio Corazon FM throughout Chile, and at www.corazon.cl as well as via the Radio Corazon mobile app for IOS and Android.
