The addition of seven new Directors is one step further in the configuration of the new corporate governance model that will enable the company to continue its global expansion and embark upon a new period of growth.

According to PRISA's CEO, Ignacio Polanco, "the different nationalities, backgrounds and years of experience of the Board members will allow the new governing body to determine the most appropriate conditions for converting PRISA into the international, plural and global group that the markets demand".

Polanco thanked the outgoing Board members for their extraordinary efforts to convert PRISA into the leading communications group in the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets.

The Chairman of the Board's Executive Committee and Managing Director of PRISA, Juan Luis Cebrián, noted that the new additions to the Board are part of a sound, independent and responsible expansion plan. "A period of sweeping transformation has begun at PRISA". The professional and human qualities of the new Board members, all prominent business, cultural, financial and political leaders, will guarantee the effective governance of our company and the absolute transparency of our activities".
